Pundi X trading halted after Coinrail Hack
Pundi X devs instigated an emergency security protocol to halt all the NPXS transactions at 11:16 am Singapore time (GMT+8) to protect NPXS holders. This was due to 2,619,542,080 NPXS ($19,000,000 worth) tokens transferred to IDEX decentralized exchange from CoinRail exchange in Korea by hackers on June 10th.
They have further extended the halt indefinitely to help Coinrail and the Korean police investigate. No date to resume trade has been given yet.
• Only users of CoinRail were victims of coin theft. While Exchanges like Bancor have halted trade of Pundi X.
• You can check account balances of your NPXS tokens on etherscan.io or ethplorer.io
• Pundi X it self was not hacked. The exchange containing NPXS tokens was hacked.
• CoinRail has daily volume of only $2.4M compared to $1.7B and is very unlikely to have anything to do with Bitcoin and other crypto currencies losing value over the weekend.
