Why Malta is becoming Crypto capital of the world?
Malta, which has recently passed regulatory legislation concerning Blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and Initial Coin Offerings (ICO) in a bid to become a crypto-friendly “Blockchain island,” is welcoming major crypto exchange OKEx.
OKEx CEO Chris Lee stated:
"We look forward to working with the Malta government as it is forward thinking and shares many of our same values: the most important of which are protection of traders and the general public, compliance with Anti Money Laundering and Know Your Customer standards, and recognition of the innovation and importance of continued development in the Blockchain ecosystem.”
Throughout the years, Malta has managed to distinguish itself across a range of industries, ranging from nancial, corporate and duciary services and other knowledge-based sectors to high-end manufacturing, from microchip, pharmaceuticals and maritime services to aircraft maintenance.
The proliferation of new and emerging technologies will have serious impact on the majority of industries such as nancial services, education and health, logistics, transport and public administration as well as others such as online gaming and intellectual property. Malta needs to lead in this area by being proactive, open to business, attracting entrepreneurs and investors from all over the world. In being so, Malta can be transformed into an international hub for digital technology innovation.
Malta! A Hub for digital technology innovation.
